Hip 21, a third-generation product of Vivien Malloy’s Edition Farm, is by Tale of the Cat out of winner Awesome Bull (Holy Bull). His second dam is Miney’s Awesome, out of Mine Tonight, purchased by Malloy at the 1999 Keeneland sale for $300,000. Bill Parcells’ August Dawn Farm signed the ticket for the bay February colt, who was previously purchased as a yearling at the Saratoga New York-bred yearling sale by Zayat Stables for $160,000. In Memory of Wake Up Kiss
About Wake up Kiss
“I was so proud to be in her presence... she was the real deal. Courageous, stoic and classy to the end. When they did the autopsy which the vets asked if they could do and said they would be honored to do hers, they were stunned and said she should have colicked every day. She was so compromised in her intestines, colon, and diaphragm. Annette, the farm manager who saw her every day just cried when she saw what that horse had been going through, silently. We all loved her. She was an example to all of us... how to live and how to die.”

Christie DeBernardis wrote a lovely article for TDN about our second career racehorse, Dita (Suave - Miney's Awesome, by Awesome Again), who has become a companion and riding horse for a 12 year-old girl with bi-polar disorder, Olivia Roelke.
We love when our home-breds find their forever home, bringing happiness to their owners.
Send It In captures thrilling edition of Haynesfield

Paul Pompa, Jr.’s Send It In picked up his eighth career win with a nail-biting victory in the $100,000 Haynesfield for New York-breds going 1 1/16 miles.
Sent off as the 1-9 favorite, the 5-year-old Curlin homebred settled in the three-path early behind Iron Power and the pacesetting Fox Rules, who took the field through an opening quarter-mile in 24.74 and the half in 48.84.
Send It In, under a drive from jockey Manny Franco, put away Iron Power as the field reached the top of the stretch and caught up with the leader near the sixteenth pole. An obstinate Fox Rules dug in and the pair locked up down the lane. The pacesetter could not hold off the heavily favored Send It In, who ultimately prevailed, getting his nose down on the wire for the win.
The winner, trained by Todd Pletcher, completed the route in 1:43.83 and returned $2.30 for a $2 win wager. The victory was the eighth from 15 career starts for Send It In, including his 3 ¾-length score in the Alex M. Robb on December 31 last time out. Saturday’s win boosted his career earnings to $398,414.
Repent Twice closed for third, followed by Iron Power and Eden Ridge to round out the order of finish.
Send it In was foaled here at Edition Farm for Paul Pompa.
