A Shin Forward 2010 Mile Championship winners circle photo.jpg

After much anticipation, A Shin Forward (Forest Wildcat x Wake Up Kiss by Cure the Blues) has returned to the United States from Japan.  The NY bred, Japanese turf champion returns to NY where he will stand the 2018 season at Rockridge Stud, as the property of Edition Farm.

Earning his fame as the 27th winner of the Japan Autumn International Mile Championship [G1] and the Hanky Hai [G3] in 2010, A Shin Forward’s race record includes 3 stakes wins, and 5 stakes placings, with over $3.4 million dollars in total earnings over five years racing. As the second leading NY bred earner in history (Funny Cide being the first), we are excited to continue his career in the U.S. as  a New York based stallion.

When a horse wins at the The Garrison Savannah racetrack in Barbados they are lead by the owner or trainer in front of the entire grand stand for a round of applause before entering the winners circle. We’re looking forward to seeing how Andale Julia progresses as one of our overseas racehorses and wishing her many more rounds of applause!

In Memory of Paul Schosberg

"Paul Schosberg was such an example to me of intelligent, clear thinking, and beautifully expressed humanity. I respected him so much and am so shocked, really as he seemed to be always there for you, for Jane, and for all of us in New York and the horse world we all love and work so hard for."

"My heartfelt sympathy. I just left Waccabuc behind and now Paul , my neighbor is gone. God Bless All the Schosbergs." –Vivien

The National Museum of Racing held a fundraiser where thirty-seven, 165-pound lawn jockeys are lined up in a long row, each one bearing respective stable’s silks colors by donors.

Edition Farm, one of many owners in support throughout the U.S., will have their silks displayed for over five years to sponsor one of the figures, benefitting the museum’s endowment fund.

Edition Farm unveiled their Lawn Jockey at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga, NY on July 20th, along with other Thoroughbred farm supporters. Owner, Vivien Malloy attended the event with son, Mark Malloy, granddaughter, Caitlin Malloy Brennan and friend Kathy Landman, as well as Theresa Behrendt, who helped initiate the fundraiser.
